Instruction for speakers Keynote lectures Each Keynote lecture lasts 60 minutes (55 minutes for the actual presentation and the remaining 5 minutes for discussion).
Microsymposia There are 5 or 6 oral presentations in almost all the 47 microsymposia: 2 invited Microsymposium talks and 3 or 4 oral contributions. Invited Microsymposium talks 30 minutes are allocated for the two invited Microsymposium talks (25 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes for discussion). Oral contributions 20 minutes are allocated for the 3 remaining oral contributions in each Microsymposium (If MS has 4 oral contributions, 15 minutes are allocated for each of them). A short introduction of the chairperson(s) (5 minutes) will open each Keynote lecture and Microsymposium. Chairpersons are recommended to keep the schedules sharp in order to facilitate the transferring of the attendants from one room to the other in between talks. Instructions for Power Point Presentations In every lecture hall a PC is at the disposal of the speakers. They are all equipped with the version 2007 of Power Point and the Open Office for the presentations. Usage of personal laptop computers is not allowed to prevent any loss of time for the change of computers. Speakers are requested to hand over their presentation on memory key or CD-Rom to the meeting secretariat. It will be immediately tested and installed on the network system from where it will be available in the lecture halls. Speakers are kindly requested to do this upon their arrival in Istanbul and at least 3 hours in advance of the start of their session. Participants who wish to bring their laptop are kindly requested to notice that an adaptor plug will be needed.
